Australian freestyle motocross (FMX) sensation Blake ‘Bilko’ Williams has launched an all-new website just a week out from his biggest competitive outing of the year, X Games 15.
Bilko22.com, featuring the new Bilko logo, will be a destination for fans to keep up to date on their favourite rider’s progress throughout the year. "Launching the new site in the leadup to X Games is exciting, it's got a new look and some new features to keep the fans updated on what I'm up to and where I'm at," said Williams. "It uses web services like twitter, Vimeo and Flickr to make updating easy. I've kicked things off with a brand new video and pics from my X Games practice." The design retains Bilko’s signature red and black style, the colours featured prominently on his FMX machines. The site contains a comprehensive news section, profile, a list of results, season schedule and dedicated sponsors area.
Flickr and Vimeo modules will feed all the latest photos and videos from competitions, tours and on the road, and visitors can also download their own mobile wallpapers to customise their phone and show their support. The latest tweets from Bilko’s own twitter profile will ensure visitors are kept up-to-date with his movements, anywhere in the world.
As well as re-launching the site, the Aussie’s focus has been on perfecting a number of tricks, including some revolutionary 360-degree combos, in time for Los Angeles. Practiced into foam pits, Bilko is now landing the moves to dirt and will be one to watch when competition gets underway. "I've been back in the US for a few weeks and have been working hard on getting these moves right," said Williams.
"The judges are after something different and I'm pretty confident that I can impress."My best result at X Games is a bronze medal so I would love to push for gold or silver." He will take part in Moto X Best Trick and Moto X Freestyle, with practice sessions set to kick off on Thursday July 30. Keep an eye on Bilko22.com for the latest news and updates from X Games 15.
