February has been a cool month for me. It Started off in Cape town. The first round of the South African FMX championships was held on the 7th and 8th February in Cape Town. It was a really awesome event and all the riders had been training really hard for this one. Ten riders turned up for the event. We had a lot of wind to contend with during the competition but after the first round I was tied for first. It was a big battle between myself and Alistair.



Unfortunately round two had to be cancelled due to bad weather and the final result came from the first round. I tied first in the first national. The next round is going to be on the 4th and 5th April so I am determined to take that one. After that I had 2 weekends off to do some training and move into my new house. The training went really well. I have been doing a lot of FMX riding and also riding MX tracks quite a bit. The final weekend of the month saw us going to do a show at a bike rally for a bike magazine, Bike SA. There were loads of really strange bikers there roughing it up for the weekend. We went in and cleared all the drunk bikers out of the way, set up the ramps and started our show. I did 3 jumps and it started pouring down with rain. That put an end to the demo.

Unfortunately we couldn't carry on with the show, So we packed up and got out of that crazy place. We finished there at about 2pm and raced 30km's to a friends FMX track. He was holding an open day for guys to come hit the ramps for the first time and just have some fun. I went there to go help out and also do a bit of riding. The weather once again changed the plans and started raining. We couldn't carry on with it and called it a day.

Well that's what I was up to in February. March is going to be a busy one. A friend from Italy ,Alvaro Del Farra, is coming to visit and we are going to do some training and also do some filming for and Italian FMX video. After that im off to Dubai for a Red Bull event and then I come home to get ready for round 2 of the SA FMX nationals.
