Orlando, Florida - 10/23/07 - Nate Adams makes a clean sweep in Orlando,
taking home Athlete of the Year, the PlayStation FMX title and the
Overall 2007 FMX Championship title.
After dominiating the AST Dew Tour in FMX all season long, 23 year old
WMG athlete Nate Adams was named the AST Dew Tour 2007 Athlete of the
Year. Adams, who won his second consecutive FMX Dew Cup title this year,
secured the award by earning 475 out of a possible 500 points for the
season-long competition, the most points earned by any athlete in any discipline this year.
The final leg of the AST Dew Tour was held this past weekend in Orlando,
FL. Nate scored a 93.17 to earn yet another victory, making the
PlayStation Pro his fourth win out of the five tour stops. Nate was the
only athlete amongst all the disciplines to win four events on this
year's tour with his only loss coming in Portland where he finished
second.
The prestigious Athlete of the Year award goes to the one athlete whom
the judges feel had the best performance overall in the tour. "Athlete
of the year was a total surprise,'' said Adams. "I am pumped, this is
such an honor, and to end the season with a win on such a high note, I
could not be more satisfied with my year.'' Congratulations to Nate for
all of his accomplishments on the AST Dew Tour this season!
