Frankfurt, 03.12.2005. One year after his IFMXF debut, Mike Mason (USA) showed he meant business and sealed the first US win in an IFMXF contest for over two years.
Mason was on fire and not only won the qualifying and final runs, but also stomped the whip contest with team mate Jimbo Verburgh (Bel) ahead of the team of Fred Johanson (Swe) and Libor Podmol (Czech). And he wasn´t done there, he also shared the win in the Highest Air with Podmol, ahead of Johanson and Verburgh.
Daniel Bodin from Sweden with a lot style!
2nd in the final was Fred Johanson, third was Oystein Kjorstad (Nor) on his brand new KTM. Fourth was Fabian Bauersachs (Ger), who nearly brought the Festhalle arena to the ground with a near flawless run that had the partisan crowd booing the judges. Fifth was Podmol, who put together an energetic run. Sixth was Nick de Wit (South Africa) who was looking strong until making some mistakes late in his run.

Kevin Burcklen (France) and Nick Franklin (New Zealand) will be disappointed at not making the final and will be sure to step it up a level for tomorrow´s action. Also returning to action for Sunday´s event is Busty Wolter (Ger), who will be hoping to stop the Mike Mason Freight train in its tracks.

The winners on friday - 1st Mason, 2nd Johansson and 3rd Kjorstad
Frankfurt, 04.12.2005. The second day of action in Frankfurt was all Mike Mason (US), again. This time though, local hero Busty Wolter gave him a decent run for his money, riding like a man possesed. Mason said it was the most fun he´d had for a long time and promised to be back for next year´s series.
Really Skilled - Fredrik Johansson from Sweden rocked the house
Third in the final was Frederik Johanson (Swe) who combined some technical skills on the wall-ride and fun-box with huge tricks and backflip combos, most notably his no-footed turndown backflip.
GeneralX member Libor Podmol constant Top5 results!
Fourth was Oystein Kjorstad (Nor), who lost a bit of momentum half-way through his run to slip a little behind the front three. Fifth was young Czech charger Libor Podmol, who once again also managed to tie with Mason for first in the Highest Air. Sixth in the final was Nick de Wit, who after third in the qualifying, looked like he was ready to challenge the leaders, but it was not to be, as he just couldn´t maintain the intensity in the main event.

The Team Whip contest was again won by the pair of Mason and Jimbo Verburgh (Bel) from Busty Wolter and Freddy Peters (Ger). Third was Team Johanson / Podmol.
All in all an exciting and fitting end to a really successful 2005 IFMXF season.
