Australia's Cameron Sinclair is back on the bike. He is already hitting ramps and he also was flipping for the first time since his accident in July, 2009. He still has a long way to go to get that X Games medal, but today was a huge step in the right directly considering it's only been 4-5 months. It´s snowing outside now already for a couple days so things are finally quieting down. Time to do a quick recap of what happened since my last column on FORTY8. Together with Gerhard Mayr and Brano Niks I did a sweet show at the Ursus Alcohol Free Track event in Cluj Napoca / ROM. Apart from the always-scary car-drive to get there everything turned out sweet being perfectly organized...

The german FMX Champion 2009 Freddy Peters is riding a Yamaha 450f in the upcoming season. Freddy will get no factory support and had to buy the bike by himself. 2010 he will ride the German FMX Championship and the german contests of the Night of the Jumps series. The founding father of Freestyle Moto-X Mike Metzger aka "the Godfather" has created asecret society of riders that are ready to ignite the sport of Freestyle Moto-X. Under the name "MOB Syndicate" the elite group riders will travel the Globe starring in an extensive series. Mike Metzger himself will lead the riders and will enforce a set code of conduct to promote creativity, safety and loyalty in the team.

The training partner of Fabian Bauersachs was riding the German FMX Championship and the Flight Club Tour 2009 and placed in the Top 10. Tim is famous for his extension – especially his Cliffhanger. FMX pioneer Mike Cinqmars passed away today. His cause of death is still unconfirmed, and an autopsy is scheduled for sometime next week. He was 31. Mike was one of the originators of FMX. At the first Freestyle event at the 1999 X Games, Cinqmars won the silver medal, finishing 2nd behind Travis Pastrana. Prayers sent out to the family – R.I.P. Mike. We will never forget you!
